Successors of Adolphe Sax, the Henri SELMER Paris workshops amount to 100 years of know-how and excellence in the manufacturing of saxophones 'made in France'. The continuing spirit of innovation and the close relationship with saxophonists from all over the world is illustrated daily in the design of the instruments, made with and for musicians.
Designed and manufactured in our workshops in Mantes-la-Ville, the care taken in the manufacture of the Axos tenor by our craftsmen shows the same level of demand and know-how as its predecessors. As an entry-level professional saxophone, it has the same qualities of great flexibility, accuracy and projection. Its great ease of playing and rich timbre make it an ideal instrument to "tame" the tenor, whatever the level of playing. Its affordable price is also part of this logic of accessibility.
Elegant aesthetics and ergonomics
The extension of the alto to the tenor has enabled a particularly meticulous aesthetic to be redefined through a specific lacquer and engraving, which also benefits the “second generation” Axos alto.
The Axos tenor offers a lighter socket, specific to the Axos, which contributes to the feeling of ease. The fingers rest naturally on its strong, durable, and ergonomically comfortable keywork. It has a lyra holder soldered to the body and leather pads with metal resonators reduced in diameter. The neck key that carries the unmistakable "S" from SELMER is also exclusive to Axos.
